Stealing a Nation film screening

On the 24th of February John Pilger’s award winning documentary, *Stealing A Nation*, is being screened for free at Common House. The film describes the struggle of the Chagossians, a population of 2000 or so people who were forcibly removed from their homeland by the British government in the late sixties and early seventies. In doing so, the film provides an insight into the particular form of democracy practised in Britain.
The screening will begin at 7PM on Monday the 24th of February. All are welcome. Entry is FREE, however donations to the Common House will be very welcome. The film is an hour long and will be followed by some informal discussion about how we can support Chagossians in their campaign for return.
